Frequently asked questions about suspension small parts

Which thru-axle fits my suspension fork?

The decisive factors are the diameter and installation width, for example, 15 × 110 mm for Boost single-crown forks such as the RockShox Maxle Stealthor 20 × 110 mm for dual-crown forks. In addition, the length and thread must match the fork.

What do I need a spring adapter for on a coil shock?

A spring adapter centres a spring with a larger inner diameter on the spring retainer of your shock. The WPS Performance Spring Adaptersadapt springs with a 38 mm inner diameter to FOX, Marzocchi, Öhlins, and other shocks. The spring rate does not change as a result.

Does the star nut fit in a carbon steerer tube?

No. The RockShox star nut 1 1/8 inchis for steel or aluminium steerer tubes. For carbon steerers, you need an expander that clamps from the inside.
