MTB-Raceshop PRO Suspension · Official BYB Point · Telemetry since 2019

Suspension fitting with telemetry

More grip, less arm pump, more speed: with the BYB Telemetry V3 Pro we measure how your fork and shock work on your trail – and set up your suspension accordingly, run by run.

  • Official BYB Point

Telemetry since 2019: formerly Swiss partner of Motion Instruments, today BYB Point and Swiss BYB distributor.

  • Measure instead of guess

SAG, compression and rebound speeds and the balance between fork and shock.

  • On your trail

Measurements are taken on a trail or in a bike park you know well.

  • Independent advice

No brand ties – the setup is based on you.

Why telemetry?

See what your suspension really does

Telemetry shows in black and white how your suspension works while riding – and where there's still potential. That makes every setup decision traceable and measurable instead of trial and error.

✓ Measurable performance gains through individual data analysis
✓ Less guesswork, more speed and comfort
✓ Less arm pump: suspension set up for you and your terrain
✓ For gravity, downhill and enduro riders, from ambitious amateurs to racers

How your suspension fitting works

  • 1. Initial consultation

We clarify bike, suspension, rider weight, riding style, trail and your goal – for example more grip, more support or less fatigue.

  • 2. Fit the sensors

The sensors are fitted directly to the bike and calibrated. A SAG baseline and a neutral basic setup are defined.

  • 3. Ride measurement runs

You ride several runs spread over the day, ideally on the same trail. Every run provides new data and comparison values.

  • 4. Analyse

The data isn't simply read off, but interpreted by an MTB-Raceshop coach and compared with your riding feel.

  • 5. Fine-tuning

Same section, new setup: that way you can see objectively what really works better and what doesn't.

  • 6. Wrap-up and follow-up

You get a clear, traceable setup. For questions or changes of trail or equipment, there's support and, if you wish, further fine-tuning later.

Technology

BYB Telemetry V3 Pro

Dave Rüst has been working with suspension telemetry since 2019. For several years MTB-Raceshop was the official Swiss partner of Motion Instruments and today is an official BYB Point and the Swiss distributor of BYB Tech. For customer fittings we use the BYB Telemetry V3 Pro.

Measurements include SAG (also dynamic), compression and rebound speed and the balance between fork and shock.

Want to measure yourself? As a distributor, we also stock the systems, sensors and spare parts in the shop.

Frequently asked questions about suspension fitting

Do I need telemetry – or is a normal setup enough?

If you want your suspension not just "good" but really set up for you and your terrain, telemetry is the fastest way. You see objectively what your suspension does and doesn't do – instead of trial and error.

Which bikes and suspension is it suitable for?

For most enduro, freeride and downhill bikes. We measure how the fork and shock behave while riding – regardless of whether you ride FOX, RockShox or another common system.

Does my suspension need to be freshly serviced?

Not necessarily freshly, but the last service shouldn't be too long ago. For meaningful optimisation, the suspension has to work properly mechanically. Otherwise increased friction or wear will distort the measurements. If your last service was a while ago, it's best to book a suspension service first.

How does an appointment work?

We meet at the trail with your bike and clarify goals and current problems, for example arm pump, lack of grip or bottoming out. Then we measure your suspension under real riding conditions, analyse the data and make the adjustments directly. At the end you have a setup that you understand and can reproduce yourself.

What should I bring to the appointment?

Your bike ready to ride, with your usual tyre and insert setup, and if possible your current air pressure and clicker settings (or a photo of them). Plus helmet, shoes and protection as you normally ride – we want real conditions.

Where does the fitting take place?

On a trail of your choice. Ideally a trail or bike park you know well, so that changes can be clearly felt and compared. A lift, shuttle or similar uphill transport is important so there's enough riding time for measurements and adjustments.

Is it worth it without racing ambitions?

Yes. Telemetry isn't just for racers. Many riders benefit most when they want to improve comfort and control: less fatigue, more safety, more grip.

What is a BYB Point?

BYB Points are independent workshops that measure with BYB Telemetry and offer setups as a service – BYB calls this "Dynamic Fit". MTB-Raceshop is one of 15 BYB Points in Switzerland. You don't buy any hardware and don't have to learn any software: we measure, analyse and set up your suspension with you.

Still unsure?

Not sure whether your problem comes from the setup? Briefly describe what's bugging you – for example arm pump, lack of grip or bottoming out. We'll tell you whether telemetry is the fastest way.
