Product Description

SKF Dual Compound Fork Seals for RockShox 32 mm

Fork seals not only influence how reliably dirt and moisture are kept out of the suspension fork; their friction also directly affects the fork's responsiveness.

The SKF Dual Compound fork seals were developed using two bonded rubber compounds and an optimised geometry of the sealing and wiper lips. As a result, the seals reliably follow the 32 mm stanchions without generating unnecessarily high friction. This supports a sensitive response while simultaneously protecting the inside of the suspension fork from contamination.

An open tension spring on the wiper lip ensures uniform contact pressure and improves protection against dust, mud, and moisture. The redesigned metal insert stabilises the seal and ensures a secure fit in the casting.

Advantages of SKF Dual Compound Seals

Technical Data

Frequently Asked Questions

What does Dual Compound mean?
SKF combines two different rubber compounds within the seal. This allows low friction and reliable sealing to be combined in a targeted manner.

Do the seals fit every RockShox fork with 32 mm stanchions?
No. RockShox has used different seal dimensions and designs. Therefore, the exact fork model and model year must match the compatibility list.

Does the kit fit a current RockShox SID with 35 mm stanchions?
No. This seal kit is exclusively intended for compatible RockShox forks with 32 mm stanchions.

Does the kit also fit FOX 32 suspension forks?
No. For FOX 32 models, the separate SKF seal kit with part number MTBDUAL-32FN is required.

Can I install the seals myself?
Yes, if you can remove your fork's lower legs yourself. You'll need oil, grease and ideally a seal installation tool that matches your stanchion size (see 'What you need for installation'). Rather leave it to us? Book the lower leg service incl. SKF seals.
