Chain Damper – Quieter, smoother drivetrain for your bike

The Chain Damper effectively absorbs chain energy and ensures a smooth, silent ride. By controlling chain movement, it reduces drivetrain feedback and provides a riding feel like riding without a chain.

Compatibility:

• Boost & Downhill compatible via a split chainline of 53.5 mm
• Transmission version specially developed for Transmission chainline
• Fits many chain guides and bashguards (a small spacer behind the bashguard may be required)
• Compatible with 11- and 12-speed chains as well as T-Type Flat-Top Transmission chains
• For direct-mount cranks only

Weight:

• 240 g incl. 32T chainring
• An XT chainring (32T) weighs approx. 120 g, so the additional weight for most users is only 120 g

Maintenance intervals:

The Chain Damper was developed for durability and minimal maintenance. Nevertheless, high-performance components require a certain level of care for optimal performance.

• Cleaning and re-lubrication recommended as soon as noises or negative riding characteristics occur
• Service kits and replacement chainrings are available
• In case of squeaking noises: A small drop of chain oil on the damper seals is sufficient
