WPS Podium Piston Kit for RockShox Charger 3.1 RC2

The WPS Podium Piston Kit for the RockShox Charger 3.1 RC2 is a tuning kit for your RockShox fork's damping. A new base valve piston, a complete shim kit, and a stronger IFP spring provide more support and grip. WPS is a British suspension brand, and MTB-Raceshop is an official WPS Fitting Centre in Switzerland.

What the kit changes

As standard, the Charger 3 damping's base valve piston preloads the shim stack. According to WPS, this makes the transition from oil flow through the LSC circuit to flow through the piston harsh, as the damping increases abruptly. The WPS piston does not preload the stack: the transition becomes smoother, and the damping absorbs the impact instead of passing it on to you and the bike.

Compatibility

The RockShox Trailhead app or trailhead.rockshox.com will show you which version your suspension component uses based on the serial number. Separate kits are available for other Charger 3 versions: Charger 3 · Charger 3.2. For workshops, WPS offers the IFP Height & Clamp Tool.

Options

• Add a service? Select "Fitting + service" and we will perform a complete service during installation. If your suspension component is new or freshly serviced, "Fitting only" is sufficient.
• Calibrate bushings: Select "Yes" and we will also calibrate your fork's bushings so that the stanchions run with minimal friction.
• Shipping: With "Shipping label," you will receive a prepaid Swiss Post label as a PDF via email – print it out, stick it on the package, and drop it off at the post office. If you need a suitable box, you can purchase one from us by selecting "Fork box." If you are dropping the fork off in person or sending it yourself, please select "Self-organised."

How installation at MTB-Raceshop works

1. Book the kit and choose an appointment for shipping. You can select service and shipping directly as options.
2. After ordering, you will receive an email with a form regarding rider weight, bike, riding style, and intended use. We use this to determine your tune.
3. Send us your fork well packed so that it reaches us by the working day before your drop-off date at the latest – with the shipping label if you booked it. Or bring it to Dällikon by arrangement.
4. We install the kit and tune it. Afterward, it will be returned to you with a base setup.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I install the kit myself?

No. WPS offers the Podium Kits through its Fitting Centres, which install and tune the kit. At MTB-Raceshop, we install it in our workshop in Dällikon.

Does a service need to be performed at the same time?

That depends on age and condition. If the suspension component is new or freshly serviced, installation is sufficient. Otherwise, select "Fitting + service".

Is the kit available for older RockShox damping systems?

We offer WPS tuning for RockShox forks starting from the Charger 3. There is no Podium Kit for older Charger versions.

Which tune is installed?

The shim kit contains all shims for the tunes proposed by WPS. We select which one suits you best based on the information you provide in the form regarding rider weight, bike, riding style, and intended use after your order.
