WPS Podium Piston Kit for RockShox Super Deluxe Air A1–B2

The WPS Podium Piston Kit for RockShox Super Deluxe Air A1–B2 replaces your shock’s main piston with a high-flow piston from WPS and includes a complete shim kit for custom tuning. The result according to WPS: more grip, more support, and more control. MTB-Raceshop is an official WPS Fitting Centre in Switzerland.

What the kit changes

The piston is CNC-machined from aerospace-grade aluminium and hard-anodized. WPS has shaped the channels to promote turbulent oil flow – for faster response. The goal according to WPS: a wide tuning range without restricted oil flow, good recovery on rapid hits, and no harshness on the hardest impacts.

For the newer Super Deluxe Air C1, there is a separate kit.

Scope of delivery

• High-flow piston made of CNC-machined, hard-anodized aerospace-grade aluminium
• Low-friction wear band
• Shim kit with all shims for the tunes suggested by WPS
• WPS stickers

Compatibility

• RockShox: Super Deluxe Air RCT, DH RC, and Ultimate, versions A1 to B2 (up to model year 2022)

You can check which version is in your suspension component using the RockShox Trailhead app or trailhead.rockshox.com with your serial number.

Options

• Add a service? Selecting "Fitting + service" means we will also perform a complete service during installation. If your suspension is new or freshly serviced, "Fitting only" is sufficient.
• How will your unit reach us? With "Shipping label by email", you will receive a prepaid Swiss Post label as a PDF via email – print it out, attach it to your package, and drop it off at the post office.
• Fixshox top / bottom: Upon request, we can install Fixshox REVO FHIT mounting bushings during the service. You only pay for the bushings (CHF 54.00 each); installation is free. Select the width of your existing mounting bushings. For Trunnion shocks, this only applies to the bottom, and please verify yourself whether the Fixshox will fit your bike.

How installation works at MTB-Raceshop

1. Book the kit and select a submission date. You can add service, Fixshox, and a shipping label directly as options.
2. After your order, you will receive an email with a form regarding rider weight, bike, riding style, and terrain. Based on this, we will choose your tune.
3. Send us your shock well packed so that it reaches us by the working day before your drop-off date at the latest – with the shipping label if you booked it. Or bring it to Dällikon by arrangement.
4. We install the kit, tune it, and test the shock on the hand dyno. It is then returned to you with a base setup.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I install the kit myself?

No. WPS offers the Podium Kits through its Fitting Centres, which install and tune the kit. At MTB-Raceshop, we install it in our workshop in Dällikon.

Does a service have to be performed at the same time?

That depends on its age and condition. If the suspension component is new or freshly serviced, installation is enough. Otherwise, select "Fitting + service".

Which tune will be installed?

The shim kit contains all shims for the tunes suggested by WPS. We will select the one that suits you based on the information you provide in the form regarding rider weight, bike, riding style, and terrain after your order.
