MTB-Raceshop Crush Washers (Compression/Sealing Washers)

Crush washers are compression and sealing washers for the lower bolts of suspension forks. When disassembling a fork, they are removed along with the foot nuts and subsequently replaced with new washers to reliably maintain the seal and ensure the correct fit of the fork legs.

Variants & Areas of Application

POM Large

• Material: POM composite with MoS₂ / PTFE

• Inner diameter: 13 mm

• Outer diameter: 15.95 mm

• Height: 2 mm

• Application: Damper side of many suspension forks (e.g., Fox 34 / 36 / 40). Replaces 13 mm crush washers during oil bath service.

POM Small (Nylon)

• Material: POM / Nylon

• Inner diameter: 8.10 mm

• Outer diameter: 10.90 mm

• Height: 2 mm

• Application: Spring side of Fox forks 32 / 34 / 36 (except Talas) as well as Fox 40. Suitable for most RockShox forks.

Alu Fox

• Material: Aluminium

• Inner diameter: 6.60 mm

• Outer diameter: 11.12 mm

• Height: 2 mm

• Application: Aluminium crush washer for Talas forks. Installed on the TALAS side and replaced with a new washer during service.

Material Properties

• POM (Polyoxymethylene): This high-performance thermoplastic features high stiffness, low friction, and excellent abrasion and chemical resistance. Variants with MoS₂ and PTFE additives are CNC-machined and offer an especially smooth surface and high durability.

• Aluminium: The metallic material ensures stable preload and is used in Talas systems.

Product Details

• Sealing & Fit: The washers sit between the fork leg and the base stud. They are replaced upon every disassembly to prevent leaks and ensure the correct fit of the lower bolt. Fox recommends using new crush washers with every assembly.

• Available Individually: All sizes can be ordered individually, ideal for specific service or repair tasks.
