SKF Dual Compound fork seals for FOX 40

Fork seals must reliably protect the inside of the suspension fork from dust, mud, and moisture. At the same time, seal friction affects the fork's responsiveness.

The SKF Dual Compound fork seals consist of two bonded rubber compounds. SKF combines these with a revised geometry for the sealing and wiper lips. The result is a combination of reliable sealing and minimal possible friction.

An open-wound tension spring on the wiper lip supports even contact with the stanchion and prevents dirt from becoming trapped inside the spring. An integrated metal insert stabilises the seal and supports its function during demanding use.

Oil and grease are not included. To fit the seals, you also need:

• WPS FL01 Lower Leg Lube: lubricating oil for the lower legs
• Danico Biotech Race Grease: for greasing the seal lips
• PUSH seal installation tool in 40 mm: presses the seals in straight without damaging them
